Hackett Hounds & Cats – Terms & Conditions and Indemnity Waiver

At Hackett Hounds, the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of all dogs in our care is our top priority. By enrolling your dog in our daycare programme, you agree to the following terms:

Daycare Admission Requirements

1. Vaccinations

   • Puppies must have received their second set of vaccinations at least two weeks prior to attending daycare.

   • All dogs must be fully up to date on core vaccinations (including Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella if advised) and remain on a vaccination schedule.

   • Proof of vaccination must be provided before enrolment.

2. Health and Condition

   • Dogs must be in good physical health. Dogs showing signs of illness or injury may not attend daycare.

   • Dogs from shelters or rescues must have been in their new home for at least two weeks before joining.

   • Owners confirm that their dog(s) have not been ill with any contagious disease in the last 30 days.

3. Spaying/Neutering

   • Dogs over six months of age must be spayed or neutered to attend daycare. (Unless advised by your Veterinarian).

4. Behaviour

   • All dogs must be non-aggressive towards people and other dogs.

   • By signing this agreement, you confirm your dog has no history of aggression, biting, or threatening behaviour.

5. Arrival & Collection

   • Dogs must arrive and leave on a secure collar, harness, and lead. These are removed while in our play areas for safety.

   • Pick-up must be completed by 5:45pm. A late fee of R90 per 15 minutes will be charged for late collections.

Indemnity & Liability Waiver

1. I confirm that I am the legal owner of the dog(s) listed on this application and that all information provided is accurate.

2. I understand that while Hackett Hounds takes all reasonable precautions, dogs are animals and may engage in rough play. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my dog’s participation in daycare.

3. I hereby waive and release Hackett Hounds, including its owners, staff, and agents, from any and all liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage suffered by my dog(s) while in their care.

4. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hackett Hounds and its representatives from any claim made by third parties resulting from my dog’s behaviour or actions.

5. I accept that Hackett Hounds may act in its discretion if my dog becomes ill or injured, including seeking veterinary care at my expense. I accept full financial responsibility for any treatment required.

6. I understand that Hackett Hounds may permanently remove a dog from daycare if their behaviour poses a risk to others.

7. I acknowledge that photographs and videos of my dog may be taken during their time at Hackett Hounds and may be used for marketing or promotional purposes.

8. I understand that all reasonable care will be taken, but Hackett Hounds cannot be held responsible for injury, illness, escape, or death, provided reasonable precautions were in place.

9. I agree that my dog receives routine flea and tick prevention, and I will maintain this throughout their attendance.

10. I acknowledge that these terms apply to any and all dogs of mine attending Hackett Hounds, now and in the future.

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to all of the above Terms and Conditions and Indemnity Waiver.
