Family-owned and run in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs, Hackett Hounds & Cats brings together generations of experience in caring for dogs and cats. Avalon Cattery was established in 1992, followed by Hackett Hounds in 2012, and today we provide dog daycare, cat boarding and grooming with a focus on thoughtful, individual care.

Our hands-on experience and understanding of animal behaviour allow us to recognise that every pet is different. We take the time to understand their personality, social needs and what makes them feel comfortable, creating an environment where they can feel settled, safe and at home. Every animal is animal is treated like one of our own.
